Shipping & Returns
Shipping Policy
Items that are in stock are shipped within 3 working days of cleared payment. We ship both domestically in the UK and internationally to all regions except Russia for the foreseeable future due to customs issues we have experienced.
We privately insure all coin parcels to ensure your latest purchase is safe.
All items will be well packaged and will be correctly declared for customs, should the parcel be shipping internationally. We ship using the HARM code of 9705.00 on commemorative coins and ship all commemorative gold coins as investment gold which will incur a 5% maximum import duty. All bullion is declared as such to negate capital gains tax on the buy side.
Return & Exchange Policy
If you decide you no longer want the bullion coins or bars you have purchased from us, unfortunately, it is not possible to return them. Prices are determined by the live precious metal spot prices, the goods we supply are dependent on fluctuations in financial markets. Therefore there is no statutory right to return or cancel an order once placed under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
However, should you feel the bullion coin or bar does not meet your expectations please contact our customer service team within 14 days after the date of delivery and we will give you full instructions on how to return your product for full quality inspection.
After contacting us, you may be asked to complete the Returns slip which you received with the item and enclose it in your return package. This item must be returned in the original packaging and must be packed securely and sent through a track and trace postal service.
Cancellation and Refunds for Investment Products
Investment coins and bars are excluded from the right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Accordingly, once an order for an investment product has been accepted by Durham Coins, the customer does not have a statutory right to cancel the order or obtain a refund under the cancellation provisions of those Regulations.
For the purposes of this policy, investment products are coins, bars and other precious metal products whose price or value is directly linked to the prevailing live market price of the underlying metal.
If you are uncertain whether a particular product constitutes an investment product and is therefore excluded from the statutory right to cancel, please contact Durham Coins before placing your order.
Where a customer no longer wishes to retain an investment product following acceptance of their order, Durham Coins may, at its discretion, offer to repurchase the product at the applicable buy-back price prevailing at the time of the sale. Any such repurchase will be subject to Durham Coins’ prevailing buy-back rates and applicable terms and conditions.
